the warrior of light. a storyteller turned adventurer in hopes of breaking her post-calamity block. after getting recruited to the scions, she works alongside thancred in ul'dah for two years before ARR.
along with the echo, she inherited a version of soulsight, able to track a friend based off their aether, as well as vaguely sense others' emotions. though gifted with a large amount of aether, she has a huge lack of physical strength and stamina. to make up for this, she often makes use of a spell to make her weapons lighter to hold.originally an incredibly guarded and tactiturn person, althea's grown over the years to help overcome her struggles with communicating with others. though she struggles at points, most people who meet her during endwalker & onwards would say she exhibits a warm yet gentle personality.post-endwalker, althea currently works as a bodyguard with her immense amount of experience being the bodyguard for the star. she also works on her novels and a biography for g'raha tia, and will often be seen alongside her new traveling companion, meteion.

a scholar well researched in the art of manipulating aether, a young minfilia recruits her to the path of the twelve upon finding out she was not invited into the circle of knowing. after the calamity, she follows minfilia when the two organizations merge to form the scions of the seventh dawn.confident and enigmatic, mei is the calm tactician in contrast to the warrior of light's hesitant and impulsive decisions in combat. she approaches everything in her life with her own personal flair, shining her light everywhere she goes.prior to the events of ARR, mei was more soft-spoken and prone to hiding in her shell; this changes after ARR when althea gives her the fantasia from minfilia she does not intend to use, and the chance to transition in the way she desires helps her out of her shell to live as her own true self.* she's shipped with minfilia for a bit during the ARR patches, and later on starts to date urianger sometime during endwalker.
